The new place I live has a terrible road
with a mud sludge
I decided that I would make an effort to change that
so I borrowed shovels, picks and and wheel barrows
from Turquoise Mountain and went out there
with my friend Ken to somehow drain the mud sludge
After a while of stomping in the mud trying to drain the mud sludge
a construction crew heckling us and hundred of kids watching
a family came out
Nassim, the eldest son could speak English to me
and at first complained on what I was doing
I explained that I loved where I lived
and I wanted to make my road better
after to and fro of opinions that I couldn't achieve anything
he decided that he would give us buckets and then began to help us
soon his brothers were out helping.
The neighbour across the road came out and he began a heated arguement
saying that it is not his responsibility to solve this problem
but Nassim argued back saying that we the community can make a difference in our street
grumpily he got out and began getting into the mud
After a good solid three hours and cups of chai
the road looked much better
and two families had settled their problems and disputes
to make life a little better where they lived.
